Davis Koi Pond
Lynn and Ralph Davis enjoyed the koi pond in the garden of their waterfront Burien home. However, the native osprey and sea otters would periodically predate on their koi in the pond. A cover was made with wood and screen. It effectively protected the koi, but its appearance did not aesthetically match the beauty of the Davis garden.
I was asked to create an aesthetically pleasing, strong, protective cover for the pond that would both withstand the attempts at entry from clever sea otters and also integrate into its surroundings.
After much measuring, a four part design was established and transferred to Adobe Illustrator.
